The new Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is located in downtown KC. The Kauffman Center also features a diverse range of performances in both halls including dance and music of all types from pop to rock, light classical to country, jazz groups to bands, and gospel to folk music, as well as smaller Broadway and off-Broadway touring productions. |
Sports
The Truman Sports Complex offers residents and visitors the best in major league sports - The Kauffman Stadium is home to the Kansas City Royals, of the American League. The stadium recently underwent a $250 million renovation, which began after the 2007 season and was completed in July 2009. Arrowhead Stadium has been the Kansas City Chiefs' home field since 1972 and the fourth largest stadium in the NFL. The stadium is currently undergoing a $325 million renovation.
