This position will work hand in hand with the facility medical director as well as C Suite of the hospital. Our 35-bed, Level III ED sees an annual patient volume of 52,000. With a 16-percent admission rate, we are a medium-acuity facility. Hospitalists are onsite and adult trauma cases are transferred to Baptist Medical Center - South. We provide 36 hours of Physician coverage and 50 hours of APC coverage daily. We ask that you be ABEM or AOBEM BE/BC.
This southern metropolitan area is located on the Alabama River. It's also an educational hotspot with many public and private colleges and universities, such as Alabama State University, and local campuses of Troy University and Auburn University.
